Send a message and include these three things:

Which book, and which tab and cell you’re looking at.
Your Excel version — File → Account → About Excel, or Excel → About Excel on a Mac. “Excel 2016” versus “Microsoft 365” changes the answer more than anything else.
What you expected, and what you got. A screenshot of the formula bar with the cell selected answers most questions on its own.

That’s usually enough to solve it in a single reply rather than four.

What to expect

Replies within two working days, usually sooner. This is a one-person operation in Mumbai (IST), so an email sent on Friday evening may be answered Monday.
Order problems come first — a download that won’t work, a duplicate charge, a missing file. Those get sorted the same day wherever possible.

What’s covered

Yes:

The files not arriving, not opening, or not working on a supported Excel version.
Anything in a book or workbook that’s actually wrong. Corrections go into the next revision with a note, the workbook is rebuilt to match, and you get the updated copy free.
Questions about how a technique in the book works.
Licence questions, extra seats, and invoices for your finance team.

Not really:

Debugging your own workbook. It isn’t that the answer would be unwelcome — it’s that doing it properly needs your data and your context, which is consulting rather than support. If that’s what you need, say so and we can talk about it.
Excel questions unrelated to anything published here. The blog may still help.

Reporting an error

Please do. Every correction makes the next edition better, and the person who reports one gets the updated files first. Quote the page number or the tab and cell, and say what you think it should be — even if you’re not certain.
